Celebrating 20 Years of McCann Family Chiropractic

It is hard to believe, but McCann Family Chiropractic is officially 20 years old!

Dr. Matt’s chiropractic story actually began years before the office opened. As part of his high school senior project, he spent time observing a chiropractor who became his mentor. He loved seeing people cared for and watching lives change, and he knew chiropractic was what he wanted to do. 

Years later, that dream became a reality. On September 5, 2006, we officially opened the doors to McCann Family Chiropractic.

Before there were patients to care for, a team to work alongside, or even finished walls, there was simply an empty space, a lot of hard work, and a dream of building a chiropractic office where we could serve families in our community.

​Where It All Started

​Building McCann Family Chiropractic really was a family affair. We worked on the office ourselves, with family and friends pitching in to help with construction, painting, and everything else that needed to be done before opening day.
​
Looking back at those early pictures now is pretty incredible. At the time, we were simply focused on getting the office ready and getting started. We had no idea how much this practice would eventually become a part of our family’s story.

Once the work was done, friends and family joined us for an Open House and dedication of our new office. It was so exciting to finally welcome people into the space we had worked so hard to create. We had no idea then just how many people would walk through these halls over the next 20 years!

And then, it was finally time to open! The mayor joined us for our ribbon-cutting ceremony, and we timed our opening with a screening event at the Evergreen State Fair. We had 70 new patients sign up at the fair, and 55 of them came through our doors! Even more special, several of those patients are still being cared for at McCann Family Chiropractic today.

A Lot Can Happen in 20 Years

When we opened the office, it really was our baby. Little did we know how much both our practice and our family would grow over the next 20 years!

Our boys have grown up around McCann Family Chiropractic, and our patients have watched them grow right along with us. We’ve also had the privilege of watching many of our patients’ families grow over the years.

Babies became kids, kids became teenagers and adults, and some families have trusted us to care for multiple generations.

​Somewhere along the way, we even celebrated our 10th anniversary. And somehow, another 10 years have already passed!

The Best Part Hasn’t Changed

The office has changed. Our family has changed. Our team has changed. Over the years, we’ve learned a lot, laughed a lot, worked hard, celebrated milestones, and made more memories than we could ever count.

But the heart of McCann Family Chiropractic hasn’t changed. ​Dr. Matt still loves caring for people and helping them move, feel, and feel better. ​​We still believe in listening, taking the time to understand each person, and providing care that is personal, thoughtful, and tailored to individual needs.

​Most of all, we are incredibly grateful. Grateful for the families who have trusted us with their care, for the patients who have referred friends and loved ones, for the team members who have worked alongside us, and for a community that has supported McCann Family Chiropractic for 20 years.

It has been such a privilege to be part of so many lives over the years, and we are excited to see what the next chapter brings.
