Art in Autumn: The Greater Marysville Artists Guild

It's time to shine a spotlight on one of our favorite local partners : The Greater Marysville Artists Guild!

When patients come into our offices here at McCann Family Chiropractic, they often take notice of the beautiful paintings or photography displayed along our walls contributing to the soothing atmosphere we strive to evoke. You may have even seen the artists themselves coming in to switch out their paintings on the wall, or other clients excitedly asking about purchasing a piece. ​

​For the past three years, our family business has had the honor of displaying a rotating gallery of local independent artist's pieces, all provided for your enjoyment (and ours!) by The Greater Marysville Artists Guild. We were introduced to this hidden gem of an organization by a family friend and appreciate the variety the artwork displayed by the guild gives to our interior decor.

We wanted to take some time this thanksgiving season to spotlight the Guild as a way to show our gratitude for their lovely contributions to both the office and our community.​​

What is The Greater Marysville Artists Guild?

The Greater Marysville Artists Guild is a local nonprofit dedicated to promoting art appreciation among our region's community.
​
Having been founded in 1982, the guild provides artistic education classes, art scholarships, and showcase events for all guild members as well as interested members of the public wanting to increase their artistic prowess. All different mediums of creation are welcomed and encouraged!

Who can Take Part?

Becoming a member of GMAG is simple to do!

If you are looking for a great group of people to be creative with and learn from, the Guild invites you to attend any one of their meetings to learn more about what they do and how they can support your artistic education and encourage public appreciation of your personal artwork.

You can learn about how to become an annual member here on their official website.

However, there is no need to become a paying guild member to enjoy the fun monthly meetings as these get-togethers are open to all the public. ​

When do Meetings Take Place?

​The Guild's meetings are take place on the first Wednesday of each month, March-November, in a well-known and beloved historical attraction in Marysville- The Old Red Barn in Jennings Park.
​
Keep in mind, the last meeting for this year is taking place on November 6th, 2019 at 6pm. (Pizza will be provided for all who attend!) ​

When can you visit to enjoy the local artist's work?

You can always come visit us at McCann Family Chiropractic to enjoy our gallery during our operating hours. You can call ahead at (360) 657-7183 to see when we are open, or check out our schedule here.
